Great Mall Shooting
Saturday, October 17th, 2009
There has been a fatal shooting in the Great Mall of Milpitas. One man was killed in the two story building and the mall remained open for the rest of the day. The police closed the part of the mall where the Great Mall Shooting took place, and business was continued in a normal fashion. For now police are not giving out the identity of the victim to the public. Most likely they want to keep it private until they can inform the victims family and friends.
Milpitas is a city in California which is located right next to the Silicone Valley. The name comes from a mexican word milpa, which means a crop growing system. The Great Mall is the former residence of The Ford Mustang/Shelby factory and when it closed it’s doors early in 1984 it was converted to a shopping mall in 1994.

Today it is, the time to be extra nice and thank your boss if she or he has been kind to you the past year – it’s National Boss Day 2009, also known as Bosses Day. There is some controversy about the day in the United States and it has been nicknamed the Hallmark Holiday.

Many people are not aware that there are actually treadmills that are manual. For them the only running machine that they ever saw was an electric treadmill, where the treadmill belt is moved by a motor. These are actually quite a new invention, and before that the manual machines were first invented to be used inside prisons – it made prison exercising quite easy, since they could be used indoors in a well secured area. Needless to say that there was no way someone could escape while jogging, since they could be strapped to the treadmill while running.
It is normal for the parents to be used to the flu shots for their children before they go to school. This has been around for a long time already and obligatory vaccinations have saved a lot of lives. But when you have to have flu shots when you are an adult, things seem to go a bit over the top.
